Welcome to Soyouwannadance.com! My name is Trina Lowery and I love to dance, socialize and just have a good time! In the past, there were so many times that I wanted to go out dancing, but did not know where to go. So, I decided to create a web site that would give people who love to dance a tool that would allow them to find out all kinds of information about dancing in Houston including classes, events, venues, etc. Hence, Soyouwannadance.com was created in May 2008.

 

After hosting the web site for approximately one year, I realized that I wanted to do more like event planning, hosting and promoting dance events, also a huge passion of mine is community outreach. So in January 2010, So You Wanna Dance Promotions was added to the umbrella. We are on our way to meeting most of our goals, we have hosted the 1st Swing Out New Year’s Eve Party, We participated in the Sisters Network Breast Cancer Walk and this year we are hosting our first Social Dance Cruise in October! More great things are coming, so keep your eyes open for what So You Wanna Dance has in the works for H-Town such as a Houston Dance Community Picnic, Urban Ballroom/Cha Cha Mixer, a Zydeco dance and much, much more!

 

I know that there are several other web sites that cater to specific types of dance or club events and they are wonderful. However, Soyouwannadance.com will advertise and promote ANY type of DANCE event whether it is swing out, 2-step, zydeco, ballroom, salsa, freestyle, urban line dancing, etc. Not only will we promote any type of dance, we will also help you plan your event!!! Our goal is to just keep you on the dance floor and keep Houston informed of where they can go dance, and socialize with positive, uplifting and fun people.
